An Entire Month of Training in a Day
September 26, 2020
Casting Director Regina Moore will be in Louisville on Sept. 26th for a 4 hour intensive. She is offering a morning session and an afternoon. Regina is one of the only CSA casting directors in our region and she is an EXCELLENT instructor.
Actors Center for Training is hosting her at the HWA office in Louisville. Two Session Options: 9am-1pm OR 2pm-6pm
Many actors want the opportunity to ask questions and spend time with casting professionals so they can get an idea of what is expected. Breaking down the audition process by focusing on the scene is vital.
This workshop is about working scenes, knowing what questions to ask, helping the actor find out who they are and about being able to understand their character. We will be spending time working Film and Television scenes while including the element of improv. This allows the actor to explore beyond the words on the page.
When you register you will receive a scene to prepare for class as though it was n audition, a 1:00-1:30 contemporary monologue (not from a well-known movie or TV Show). You will also be paired up for scene work and a cold read.
The purpose of the workshop is to build confidence in making choices and realizing that will come with stepping away from what feels safe and relying on one’s individual unique strengths. Spend the day with Regina Moore identifying what makes you unique as an actor. Regina is a member of the CSA (Casting Society of America)
Disclaimer: ALL workshop are a learning experience. It is not an audition or employment opportunity. When the workshop is over, the casting director/casting associate/casting director (whichever is applicable) teaching this workshop will not be taking home nor be given access to your headshot, resume or any other of your promotional materials. Thank you and appreciate your understanding.
You will be working on three items during the day. Please come prepared to perform a 1:00-1:30 contemporary monologue not from a well-known film or TV Show. Once you have registered we will email you requesting your age, identifying gender, and "types" you play. You will receive a scene to prepare like an audition. During the workshop you will receive a script to to prepare as a cold read (most likely with a partner). Please bring your own water and a face covering.
